Glossary

The terms you meet in a contract transfer, each with one consistent definition used across the platform.

These definitions are explanatory and general. The binding wording is the one in your contract with the developer.
Assignment — التنازل
The current owner assigning their rights and obligations under the developer contract to a new buyer, with developer approval.
Contract transfer — نقل التعاقد
The official procedure that puts the contract in the new buyer's name at the developer once conditions are met.
Resale — الريسيل
Reselling a unit before or after delivery; on Aqar Out it means selling an existing installment contract.
Overprice — الأوفر برايس
An amount above the contract price requested by the seller as profit. Aqar Out does not allow it; sellers request reimbursement of what they actually paid.
Original contract price — سعر التعاقد القديم
The contract value at signing with the developer (P), which is the commission basis.
Amount paid — المبلغ المدفوع
The total the owner has actually paid the developer to date (A).
Remaining balance — المتبقي
The installments still owed to the developer, baseline P − A unless the statement reconciles differently (R).
Assignment fee — رسوم التنازل
A fee set by the developer for completing the transfer, entirely separate from the platform commission.
Delivery payment — دفعة الاستلام
A payment due at unit handover according to the contract schedule.
Maintenance deposit — وديعة الصيانة
An amount collected by the developer for maintenance; how it is treated on transfer depends on the contract.
Late-payment penalty — غرامة التأخير
An amount added when an installment is late, at a rate or value stated in the contract.
Contract cancellation — فسخ العقد
Terminating the contract with the developer, which triggers a deduction from what was paid per the contract terms.
Refund of payments — استرداد المدفوعات
What the developer returns after deduction on cancellation, which can be zero depending on the contract.
Developer approval — موافقة المطور
The formal approval without which no contract transfer completes.
